Are there more details regarding the Pre-Wedding Feast?
Yes, we are very excited to start off by welcoming and saying hello to our guests on Friday July 18th. We chose Terraza Diana at the St Regis Hotel, Mexico City. It is centrally located on Paseo de la Reforma which should give a nice introduction to the city. We cannot wait to see you there!
What is the dress code for the wedding?
We kindly invite our guests to dress in Formal Daywear for our celebration. Morning suits are welcome but not required. For gentlemen, this could mean a suit in a lighter or darker tone with a tie or dinner jacket / tuxedo. Ladies are encouraged to wear a day dress, midi or longer—think elegant garden party attire with a touch of flair.
What is the weather like in Mexico City during July?
It is fairly comfortable. Min 14 C (at night) up to Max 29 C (during the day)
Do you have a wedding gift list or registry?
We do not. We feel extremely grateful already that you will be travelling to our wedding, therefore we consider this the present from you.
Will the ceremony and reception be held at the same location?
Yes, both the ceremony and reception will take place at Club de Banqueros.
Are kids allowed during the ceremony and reception?
Yes. We will have our two boys during the wedding so rest assured kids are very welcome. We will also make sure to have some activities ready for our young guests and they can enjoy the day as well.
What languages will be spoken?
The main languages used at the wedding will be Spanish and English. Expect some Norwegian in the mix though.
Mexican people are a friendly and approachable bunch so they will do their best to help.
Do you have any recommendations of where to stay in Mexico City?
We recommend to stay in Condesa, Polanco or Roma neighborhoods since they have plenty of options for restaurants, cafes and a fantastic atmosphere.
We will stay, however, at Gran Hotel Ciudad de Mexico the nights of 18th and 19th of July due to its proximity with the wedding venue. Please see the 'Mexico City' option where we provide more information regarding accommodation.
